Somehow, amongst 90°+ weather I have managed to shift my focus to fall. Don't get me wrong, I am thoroughly enjoying the warm temperature and all the sun I've been soaking up......but I am excited for fall colors. And I have a couple of jackets that I picked up over the summer that I am dying to wear! Just know that when that time comes, I will be wishing for today's weather! I know.....I'm all over the place! Even though I'm being a little crazy it's the summer that has my heart! S U M M E R L O V E ! ! !
For now, there are still a couple of weeks left of summer and I am planning on taking full advantage of tanning season by keeping my legs out as much as possible. Because it seems like every winter I look down at my legs and think......why??? NOT this year! As a matter of fact, I already have a FULL body tan and I'm not done!
Ever since the return from my Colorado trip, I have been wanting to spend more time outdoors. It's just peaceful. Maybe because most of my time is spent indoors working...so when I'm done for the day, I prefer to spend that time outside. I mean, I have literally moved a table outside so I can now do my computer work outside.....and even work on some personal sewing. And on the weekends I am eagerly searching for outdoor activities I can get involved in. A HUGE thanks to my friend Melissa for opening my eyes to what has now become a new love. As a matter of fact, before this photoshoot I went on a hike with the photographer and his wife up Arabia Mountain. It was beautiful!
I suggested a cute little park for us to shoot at, one that I had been to many times before, but apparently didn't drive far enough back to see all that it has to offer. So it was to my surprise when we look over and there was an entire lake with a cute little walkway and ducks swimming.....the view was screaming PHOTOGRAPH ME! And that's exactly what we did!
I had to pull the Terry Tote out because it has become the new favorite bag amongst our clients over the past few months. And I am having fun with the different color combinations. I like the fact that you can go really classic, like what I have pictured in today's outfit, or you can have fun and customize it to colors that speak to YOU! I've even had a clilent to have me replicate her logo and stain it on her bag. This is the perfect canvas simply becase there is just a wide open workable space to be artistic and have fun......or NOT and keep it simple!
Today, my Terry Tote is sharing the spotlight with the Chaka clutch. I'm usually a small bag girl but invevitably, there comes a time when a big bag is neccessary and in those times I still want bag swag! However, I find that sometimes when I'm carrying a larger bag I get frustrated because I loose small things in the bottom of my big bag or I'm fumbling FOREVER to find the smallest something. It's another reason why I am usually carrying a smaller bag like the Chaka clutch or the Big Marlena, making it even easier to toss my smaller bag right inside the bigger one for quick access.. The Terry Tote is the perfect big bag, but not SO big that your arm wants to fall off at the end of the day. As a matter of fact, my daughter stole my yellow one moments after I finished the last stitch and has been carrying it everywhere she goes since. I guess that's not the worst since it has allowed me to see just how much ABUSE this bag can withstand. And if a year and a half later it has survived the life of a teenager and still manages to look something like a bag, I would say it has passed the test!
