Personal Pizzas! 3 Cheese Kale & Veggie Hummus

Hey Button Family! I hope you are all having a good week! Today I am sharing my take on pizza night with some NON traditional personal pizzas. What I love the most about making your own pizza at home is that you can be as creative as you want! That means if you want a healthy pizza with crazy toppings or choose to gothe traditional route, you can load it up EXACTLY how you like it! And believe it or not, homemade pizzas are a whole lot easier than you may think.....and they taste SOOOOOOO good! Not to mention the pure satisfaction you are going to feel when you take that first bite!

We are going to start with the crust. I love wheat breads so of course I made a wheat pizza crust but you can easily just use all purpose flour and eliminate the wheat flour altogether if you want something more traditional. It's really easy and only has a 10 minute resting time so if you don't have to plan so far in advance for pizza night! Here is the recipe:

- 1.5 to 2 cups wheat flour

1- cup all purpose flour

1 - teaspoon salt

1- tablespoon yeast

1- oil (I used olive oil)

1- cup warm water

1- tablesppon honey (or agave nectar)

Preheat oven to 475. Mix water, honey and yeast ans set aside approximately 5 minutes to proof. Combine dry ingredients in smaller bowl. Once the yeast mixture is bubbly or foamy on top it is ready, add it to a large bowl with oil. Slowly incorporate the flour mixture until a dough forms. Kneed dough until it is tacky but not dry, slowly adding in additional flour as needed. Place the ball of dough in a bowl and set it aside for about 10 minutes to rise to almost double it's size. Take a pan and either line it with parchment paper or drizzle the pan with olive oil so that the crust does not stick. Hand press your crust out into the shape you would like on the pan, making the crust as thin or as thick as you like. I like to brust the edges of the crust with an olive oil and garlic salt mixture to add additional flavor to the crust, but that is completely optional.

*Just be sure not to press too thin to where you create wholes in the bottom of it. This crust can be stretched out to fit a large sheet pan for a large pizza, or you can divide it into quarters and make personal sized pizzas like I did in the video below.

Load up your pizza with your favorite toppings and bake for approximately 15 minutes. I usually check on my pizza around the 10 minute mark to make sure that the crust is browning nicely and the cheese is not burning. And that's it..EASY!

I encourage you to be creative with your pizza.....the sky is the limit! The two pizzas I made were 3 Cheese Kale and Vegetable Hummus. I loved them both! Who doesn't love pizza? So if you are looking for a way to sneak more vegetables into your life...I would definitely suggest this vehicle! I can't wait to see your creations, be sure to leave us a picture or comment sharing how you transformed PIZZA NIGHT!

See how easy it is to have Pizza Night at home and how much your family will LoVe you!

Click Here for the Roasted Red Pepper Hummus I used on my second pizza! It was delicious on this pizza, and a great snack to scoop with crackers and vegetables.

Here are some other pizzas I've made in the past. Try roasting up some of your veggies first for something amazing, or even make pizza pockets! Don't be afraid...HAVE FUN!
